Streamate Review: Per-Minute Prices, GOLD and Billing on the Live Cam Site

Streamate charges per minute instead of selling tokens: each model lists a per-minute price, one GOLD equals one US dollar, and the account itself has no monthly fee. Block sessions of 15 to 60 minutes come with 5 to 20 percent off, and a daily spending limit caps what you can spend.

Short verdict: Streamate is the most transparent live cam site we cover when it comes to prices. You see a per-minute rate before you join a paid session, GOLD is simply US dollars, and there is no monthly fee. The trade-off is that per-minute billing adds up quickly in long sessions, and the provider does not publish a refund policy on its FAQ pages.

Everything below comes from Streamate's own FAQ and support pages, checked on 25 October 2026. Where a number is not published, we say so.

How does Streamate pricing work?

Streamate bills paid chats per minute at the rate each performer lists on their profile, and you are not charged until you join a paid session. The site currency is GOLD, and one GOLD equals one US dollar, so a price of 2.99 per minute means $2.99 per minute. Free public video and chat cost nothing.

Because there are no tokens, there is no conversion to do in your head and no package to buy up front. Your spending is instead controlled by a daily limit on your account, which starts at a level the site sets and can be lowered to $25 or raised through support.

What are block sessions and GOLD shows?

Block sessions let you pay up front for a fixed length of private time at a discount: 5 percent off for 15 minutes, 10 percent for 30, 15 percent for 45 and 20 percent for 60 minutes, if the performer offers them. The purchased time must be used in one go, and if the show runs longer you are billed at the normal rate for the extra minutes.

GOLD shows are group shows where several members pledge GOLD towards a goal the performer sets; when the goal is reached, everyone who pledged joins. Tips in GOLD can be sent at any time to show appreciation.

Block length Discount
15 minutes 5% off
30 minutes 10% off
45 minutes 15% off
60 minutes 20% off

What is free on Streamate?

Watching performers' free live video, reading their profiles and starting a conversation in free chat cost nothing, and the FAQ states that basic services are free with no monthly fee. You only pay when you enter a paid session, pledge GOLD or send a tip.

This makes Streamate easy to try: create an account, browse, and decide later whether a paid session is worth the listed rate. The daily limit also acts as a safety net against runaway spending.

Streamate

Our rating: 7.8/10

Streamate bills per minute instead of selling tokens: each performer lists a per-minute price, one GOLD equals one US dollar, and the account has no monthly fee. Block sessions of 15 to 60 minutes are 5 to 20 percent cheaper, and a daily limit caps spending.

Pros

  • Per-minute price visible before you join a paid session
  • 1 GOLD = 1 US dollar, no token maths
  • No monthly fee; block discounts of 5 to 20 percent
  • Billing names published on the support page
  • Daily spending limit, can be lowered to $25

Cons

  • Per-minute billing adds up in long sessions
  • No published refund policy
  • Fewer published payment methods than token sites
  • PayPal payments carry a service charge

Which payment methods does Streamate accept?

Streamate's support page lists card payments and PayPal, with a PayPal service charge added to the purchase amount and shown before you pay. The FAQ also explains that EU members may be charged VAT and Canadian members sales tax, calculated at billing time and shown before a taxable purchase.

A complete, country-by-country list of payment methods is not published on the pages we checked, so treat the checkout screen as the final word. Taxes and the PayPal charge do not count towards your daily limit.

What appears on your bank statement?

Streamate publishes its billing names on its support page: card charges can appear as ECHST.NET or EPOCH.COM *ICFTECHNOL, and PayPal payments as PayPal.com *ICFTECH or PayPal *ICFTECH. ICF Technology is the company behind Streamate, so the name on the statement refers to the operator rather than the site.

Since these strings are published by the provider itself, you can check them against your statement with confidence. The same operator names are used by Jerkmate, which runs on the same platform.

Payment Statement name
Card ECHST.NET or EPOCH.COM *ICFTECHNOL
PayPal PayPal.com *ICFTECH or PayPal *ICFTECH

Can you get a refund on Streamate?

Streamate does not publish a refund policy on the FAQ and support pages we checked, so the answer is: not published by the provider as of 25 October 2026. The practical protections you do have are the per-minute billing, which means you never prepay a large package, and the daily limit.

If a session goes wrong, contact customer support with the time and date; the support page is the only published route. Because per-minute charges are for time already used, expect refunds to be the exception rather than the rule.

How safe and private is Streamate?

Streamate's operator name, not the site name, appears on statements, and taxes and surcharges are shown before you confirm a purchase, which keeps billing predictable. The daily limit is the most useful privacy and budgeting feature: it caps your exposure even if you lose track of time in a session.

As always, use a unique password and consider a separate email address. If you want to avoid cards entirely, Streamate's published options are more limited than at token sites such as Stripchat, which accepts paysafecard and crypto.

What do people complain about?

On public complaint platforms, Streamate complaints cluster around per-minute charges that were higher than expected and around account or verification issues. We do not quote individual posts, since they cannot be checked, but the themes point to the same advice: read the per-minute rate before joining, use block sessions for longer shows, and set your daily limit to an amount you are comfortable losing.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Per-minute price visible before every paid session
  • 1 GOLD = 1 US dollar, no token maths
  • No monthly fee; block discounts of 5 to 20 percent
  • Billing names published by the provider
  • Daily spending limit

Cons

  • Per-minute billing adds up fast in long sessions
  • No published refund policy
  • Fewer published payment methods than token sites
  • PayPal carries a service charge

Who is Streamate best for?

Streamate is the right choice if you want clear prices and plan to spend on private sessions rather than tipping in public rooms. If you mainly want free browsing with occasional tips, a token site such as Stripchat or BongaCams fits better. The cheapest live cam sites guide puts the per-minute model next to token prices, and the best live cam sites ranking covers all sites we review.

How much does a ten-minute session cost?

A ten-minute private session costs ten times the per-minute rate on the performer's profile: $19.90 at $1.99 per minute, $29.90 at $2.99, $49.90 at $4.99, before any tax or PayPal charge. A 15-minute block at 5 percent off saves $1.49 on a $1.99 performer, and a 60-minute block at 20 percent off saves $23.88.

Listed rate 10 minutes 15-minute block (5% off) 60-minute block (20% off)
$1.99 per minute $19.90 $28.36 $95.52
$2.99 per minute $29.90 $42.61 $143.52
$4.99 per minute $49.90 $71.11 $239.52

These figures are arithmetic on published rules, not quotes from the site; Streamate publishes the discount percentages and the GOLD value, and each performer publishes their own rate.

How does the daily limit work?

Every member starts with a daily limit for video chats; when you reach it, the current chat closes and you cannot spend again until the next day. You can lower it to $25 in your settings, and the maximum available to you may rise over time or on request to customer support, which sends instructions for raising it.

VAT, sales tax and the PayPal service charge are calculated after the base charges and do not count towards the limit, so the amount on your statement can be higher than the limit itself.

What is the daily limit?

A spending cap on your account. You can lower it to as little as $25 or ask customer support to raise it.

Does Streamate refund purchases?

Verdict

Streamate earns its place for price transparency: you always know what a minute costs before you pay for it, and GOLD is just dollars. Our rating of 7.8 out of 10 reflects that clarity and the daily limit; the missing refund policy and the limited published payment options keep it below Stripchat for viewers who want flexibility.
